Mission and Vision Writing
Is your organization interested in recreating it's vision or establishing an entirely new direction? CMI's unique mission and vision writing process will exceed your expectations.
Our mission and vision writing process is based on the work of two business school professors, James Collins and Jerry Porras, authors of the best selling book, Built To Last. The process takes place over three 8-hour days (back to back or spread out over time.)
-
Day 1: Discover your organization's core ideology
The morning is about defining the organization's reason for being. The afternoon is about discovering and articulating the organizational values. We start with the individual's perspectives and end up with the group's agenda.
-
Day 2: Create the envisioned future of your organization
The morning segment consists of designing "Big Hairy Audacious Goals" (BHAG). These action oriented goals focus the organization into positive activity. The afternoon segment concentrates on distinguishing a positive future for the business that will exist 10-20 years from now.
-
Day 3: Align your organization with your new vision
Day 3 is the most critical part of the intervention. The participants begin aligning the organization behind the new vision. Detailed "Next Steps" and Action Plans will be finalized.
